NYC: Subways

G Train

The G train (AKA the Ghost train because it never shows up) is the only train line in the whole system that does not enter Manhattan. Manhattan is probably where you'll want to go if you want to see some NYC sights. This train is right outside our apartment and is very easy to get to the venue from the Nassau Ave stop.

L Train

The L train is what Lindsay takes to commute into work every day! It's about a 10 minute walk from the venue (and from the apartment) and takes you right into the city. It goes along 14th street in Manhattan and once in the city you can transfer to almost any other train via Union Square, 6th Ave, and 8th Ave subway stations. The nearest station is Bedford Ave on North 7th street.

NYC: Airports

LGA

Very close and convenient! Traffic permitting, you should be able to get here in 15 minutes. This is also a Delta hub so there are loads of flights from DTW (which is also a Delta hub)

JFK

30-45 min from here. One would typically use this airport for international flights, so unless you're coming from way out of town we don't expect you to stop here.

EWR

I hope you didn't book a flight into this airport. Good luck getting here across state lines and through Manhattan!

Frankenmuth: Airports

DTW

This is really the only option. The airport is like 1.5h from where you need to be so you'll probably want to rent a car or if you're a group then a party bus is always a good idea. If you wanted to anything outside of Frankenmuth then you'll need a car anyway. They haven't heard of Uber or Lyft yet so govern yourself accordingly.

Frankenmuth: Lodging

⚠️⚠️⚠️ 80s Fest! ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Keep in mind that 80s Fest is happening this weekend so recommend to book your stay sooner rather than later!

AirB&Bs

There are lots of options and Lindsay and Chris have stayed at most of them. If you have questions or need recommendations then don't hesitate to reach out!

Bavarian Inn Lodge

This place is great. Lindsay and Chris stay here all the time when not in some fancy AirB&B. This is where the rehearsal dinner is, as well as the after party. Also, this is the closest lodging to where the wedding event is (it says 14 minute walk but if that's at Michigan walking speed then a New Yorker can probably get there in under 10)
